The program needs to be told to start at boot time, so make a suitable entry in /etc/rc.local. If the program is to start on the same machine every time the machine is booted, you can just add a call to run-on-start-up. If it’s to start on a remote machine, you need to tell it the IP address. The command to run to start the program is:

I’m working with File/StreamWriter to append the contents of a text file to an output text file. If the output file doesn’t already exist, I am going to create the file and then just append the input file to it. Is this the best approach?
