I have just come across a new product that deserves a review. It is called “The Nikon Explore – Nikon Coolpix P510 Camera” from Nikon. This little camera can shoot at 13.8 megapixels or 160 times (forget which). It can store huge images in its internal or memory card (option 2). It is pretty affordable at the moment with a price of €239 with a memory card included and a bundle to begin with. This is a bundle that consists of 8 additional accessories which include filters, storage bags and more. Let’s check this camera out.

The camera is easy to use. There are buttons for playback, delete and etc. at the bottom of the screen. There is a switch to turn on and off flash and a button to turn on and off the viewfinder. There are two buttons on the top of the camera for zoom and picture timer. The zoom is automatic (you can change it though). There are three options to adjust how the picture is displayed on the camera screen. If you have no idea what they are, just leave it alone and press the Menu button.
Above is a picture taken with Nikon Explore P510. It takes really good pictures, I really love it. I used a macro lens that I got for my DSLR.
Once the picture has been taken, the camera will store it in memory or on the internal memory (you can only change the second settings). I had my picture on a memory card and later on I used my USB2Memory stick and the camera took the photo from the memory card. No problems.
These are two different pictures I took with the Explore P510. They took really good pictures. The flash button just keeps on popping up and you have to stop taking pictures because you hit the button. Not a problem at all.

Most of the features are operated with the dials and switches on the camera. Buttons are few and rare. And there are only those two size pictures that you can take with this camera. No time lapses, no Video, no Panoramic pictures, no High Definition pictures. These are all features that are available on the cameras that cost €39 to €179. Now, the camera

In the queue you can check out the name, resolution, size, date and path of each file. So, all you have to do is establish the output directory and extension (e.g. BMP, JPG, GIF), in order to initiate conversion.
On top of that, you can adjust interpolation and rotation, set new width and height values, add watermarks (text or image) and configure settings (e.g. background color, shadow), preview images, and others.
The simplistic image processing tool takes up a very low amount of system resources (which is barely noticeable), supports multiple languages, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image quality after conversion and resizing.
No errors have popped up during our testing and Image Converter One did not freeze or crash. You can also look into a comprehensive help file with snapshots online. Aside from the outdated interface, we strongly recommend Image Converter One to all users, regardless of their experience level.

A year ago at this time, the first edition of GRA was already in full swing. At that time I started my research on the history of the upcoming show, and after 15 months I’m happy to share some insights on it in this recap post.
