Elden Ring could have been an impressive PS4 JRPG. …but as it was, it was a beautiful looking mess.
…I think part of the problem was that the game was heavily influenced by other JRPGs. …but at no point did I feel like I was in a JRPG.
…a lot of the gameplay is linear, and there are minimal boss battles. …and the bosses are really difficult.
…I would have loved to see different gameplay elements. …in particular, combat may have been the best JRPG combat mechanics I’ve ever played. …and I would have loved to see a fully customizable avatar.
…for the most part, Elden Ring would have worked as a lovely looking JRPG. …but its problems meant that it failed spectacularly.

Story Tarnished Paladin is a fantasy action RPG that you play while adventuring in the vast world between two worlds, Elden and Oblivion. You play an ex-paladin from the lands Between. You have been discarded by your organization and society, but you have a desire to make amends.
Character CLASSES You can freely select the classes (4 classes) of Swordsman, Mage, Warrior, and Thief as you wish.
There are four new classes added:
Armored Knight: This class has high defense and speed, which makes it useful when combat is taking place in dungeons.
Paladin: This class has high attack power. They use a unique weapon that can be enhanced with special effects, thereby being capable of dealing massive damage to enemies.
Knight Warden: This class has high defensive power and high speed. It is not very useful in battle, but it is effective as a recovery unit to fight in the back rows.
Scout: This class has high damage output power. You can select, then use a scythe that shoots slashes from across the screen. It can also be enhanced with special effects.
Classes Each class is accessible to the party members in various ways. There are four ways to use each class.
Use a class to determine the maximum level for the character as you play.
Use a class to acquire a new weapon.
Play as a class.
Use a class to become a special class.
Combat Special classes and equipment acquired from battles have effects.
The equipment effects of special classes are different in each class.
Character DEVELOPMENT and Customization You can freely customize your character based on the statistics you have acquired from leveling up.
During the course of your daily life, you can obtain various special equipment that has different effects.
The equipment and effects change as you progress in the game.
4 Types of Equipment Each class also has 4 types of equipment.
When you level up, you can acquire equipment of the same type and level.
When you level up, equipment with effects equivalent to the level acquired after leveling up is acquired.
When you acquire an item, and your stats are equivalent to the level of the item, you will not be able to level up.
