Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal. AutoCAD is also available as mobile and web apps.
There is no single AutoCAD history, as it is still updated. A history of AutoCAD 1.0 is available at Autodesk History Site.
Key dates in AutoCAD history include:

Application programming interface
The Application Programming Interface (API) was first released in 1996 and is a set of Application Programming Interfaces which allow third party developers to extend the functionality of the software, including object interactions with AutoCAD and the ability to control the drawing window.
AutoCAD Classic: The AutoCAD Classic API is a single shared interface between applications and AutoCAD. It supports methods to perform all AutoCAD-based drawing functions, including control of the drawing window. It is suitable for customers wishing to update the older version of AutoCAD, or for automated unattended processes.
AutoCAD LT: The AutoCAD LT (Extended) API supports user interaction and drawing functions in AutoCAD LT, including drawing complex drawings. It is suitable for customers wishing to create new drawings, or perform updates to older drawings. The API does not support update of existing drawings.
AutoCAD Extensions: AutoCAD Extensions API is an API to add extensions to the AutoCAD Classic or LT API.
AutoCAD GUI: AutoCAD GUI API supports adding AutoCAD GUI elements to a drawing. It was originally released in 2010, and is available to Classic and LT customers.
To manage a series of user interface commands, the Command Manager can be launched by pressing the Start menu’s (Windows) or Apple menu’s (macOS) (I) button, or CTRL+I. The most recently accessed commands are shown in the list below the button. The list can be sorted by name or by their most recently accessed date/time. As commands are saved, they are moved to a command database, which lists the commands in their category. They can also be deleted from the list, and their associated user interface elements (UI elements) can be removed from the user interface.

1. To generate activation key of Autodesk, you should start with Autodesk acad.exe or autocad.exe program. We will choose autocad.exe because it’s more suitable for beginners.
2. A new window will appear, this is the Autodesk Activation License Manager.
3. Look for program’s author (Author: Autodesk). It’s always written in small type.
4. If you can’t see the author, click on “Search” and look for the author.
5. Enter the author’s email in “Search for author” and press enter.
6. Enter the Activation Number (10 digits) from the license file, which you received in the last step. You will see the corresponding text.
7. Click on “search” button and follow the instructions.
8. Do not forget to save your key!
If you did it right, your activation key will be added to the list.
Our software does not provide any support and it’s not a free edition. It’s a standard edition, so in the case of the use of your key or activation you should pay for it and buy a new license (for free software).

Path offset detection:
Properties of paths are more accurately measured with the new path offset detection. Not only is the accuracy of distance and angle improved, but also the path line spacing is increased. (video: 2:10 min.)
Graphics (MaxLayer: 250):
The graphics feature now supports up to 250 layers on a drawing. For a single drawing, multiple strokes can be applied with a single switch in the drawing’s properties, and the strokes can be selected and combined.
The Graphics Library has received a new look and offers a new dialog tree structure that can be customised. It has also been updated to automatically load objects on a new drawing.
The New User Management allows administrators to access the user accounts for each user separately. It can be opened from the server or from the client. In addition to the usual changes made on the server, a new user interface has been developed that makes it easier to perform user management and to create and edit users. In addition, user profiles can be saved and loaded from the server.
Custom Task Panes:
This new feature allows users to tailor their drawing environment and to incorporate drawings into other drawings. Custom task panes can be opened, closed, and organised into separate panels. For example, a user can open a panel to display the layers of a drawing, then a separate panel to show the settings of a 3D object.
3D editing in AutoCAD has been improved. View geometry in 3D, pan and zoom objects in real time, and dynamically change the view in real time. The built-in 3D DesignCenter now also allows you to place and delete components by dragging, as well as edit properties, views and assembly options.
Handling Multiple Objects:
Import multiple object handles. These handles can also be copied and exported. Now you can create several project variants, such as a plan, a section, and so on, that can easily be exchanged and updated.
New UI Experience:
The interface has received a new look and feel. The Ribbon has been replaced by a more flexible layout, that makes it easier to find the tools and functions you are looking for. The aim is to speed up your work.
Create a new drawing by double-clicking a new project file or by pressing
