In this guide, we will be going through how to create a simple web page and add a simulated graphic canvas element (a canvas) to it.
The tutorial will show how to work in Adobe Photoshop CC 2016 (subscription required).
To create a web page, you will need Photoshop and a web hosting service like this.
1. In Photoshop, load a blank new file that has an 800×600 (or whatever size) canvas. The canvas will be our page. Set a solid background color.
2. Put your canvas on top of a blank layer.
3. Choose Raster from the Tools menu. Then click on Layer from the Window menu.
4. Click on the white square in the upper left corner of the window. This will put all the graphic elements of your canvas into one layer, the Canvas layer. Your canvas will now be a “group”.
5. Drag the grouped layer to the top of the document, using the Make Selection tool (in white on the Mac and in red on the PC). This will “lock” the layer, making it invisible but ready to be drawn over later. In this example, we want the canvas to be a light blue, so select the Brush tool from the Tools menu and select Sponge and 50% opacity.
6. Begin to create your graphic elements of your page over the canvas. Select a basic graphic element like a highlighter, and draw over it. Then select the “lock” layer and hide it by clicking on the eye icon in the upper right corner.
7. Make another basic graphic element, and select it and drag it to the canvas. Duplicate it. Try to move the duplicate to the left or right of the first element. You’ll notice the movements are offset. This is due to the Canvas layer’s being locked.
If you want your layout to look better, you will need to move your Canvas around to align with your graphic elements.
Just remember you can toggle a group on and off by clicking the eye icon in the upper right corner.
You can also duplicate a group with ⌘+D or Command+D.
The top of the canvas can be hidden by clicking in the upper right corner and selecting “View” from the top menu.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for adding more basic elements. You can also copy/paste images and clip art to help get the

the pattern of results showing that, as would be predicted by our model, the message that the left ‘place holder’ is unimportant is not detected by participants as ‘false’. This could be a result of the weak associations that are necessary for the model to function.
This study was designed to assess a model based on a learned disposition to interpret various places in the environment according to the goal of its owner. Evidence from studies with real tasks involving goal-directed action, as well as memory and attentional tasks, suggest that one of the dimensions represented in the model is “intentionality”, the degree to which an object or place is associated with a goal or intention (Sutton and Barto, [@B17]; Barto et al., [@B2]; Doya, [@B6]). While the model has been empirically tested in the domains of spatial navigation, working memory, attention and memory, the goal of the present work was to evaluate how the model can explain changes in semantic memory. Furthermore, a challenge for the model, is to account for the semantic part of its representation. There is substantial evidence of semantic processing during the visuo-spatial phase of navigation (e.g., Gottlieb et al., [@B9]), and it has been suggested that “one of the important reasons for the close relationship between the two systems is the proposal that the spatial network provides the content and the semantic network the context of the experience” (Hutto et al., [@B11], p. 1). In the present study, training always occurred in a highly familiarized environment where the participants had not been instructed to focus on learning the spatial information, and could thus use the information to guide their goal-directed actions. However, it is possible that the model’s representations of the environment at testing could have been influenced by the participants’ knowledge of what they had learnt about the environment at training. For instance, when the agent encounters one of the stimuli at testing, it could be that the agent formulates a mental representation of how the environment at testing should have been at training, based on a belief that the environment in training was familiarized in the same way as it was at testing. This may happen, for instance, if it is common practice for the experimenter to get a participant to wear the type of headset that they would be used to in order to eliminate extra training trials that they should not be involved in. However, this would pose a problem for other models, which typically
Ignition on the National Mall
Ignition on the National Mall is the debut album by Canadian band The Trews. It was released in Canada on April 8, 2002 via Universal Music Canada. The album was produced by Mike Fraser of The Glue Surgeons. Ignition was a precursor to the band’s self-titled debut album, which was released on September 9, 2002.
The album was well received by critics, with reviewers deeming it, along with the self-titled album, to be the best releases of the year. As of August 2014, the album has sold over 5,600 units in Canada, making it certified gold by Music Canada.
The album was written primarily by guitarist and vocalist Andy Trew, with the exception of “It Is Not Over Yet,” which was written by Fred Kinsella. The album was recorded in the summer and fall of 2001 at Red Wing Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the band was joined by producer Mike Fraser. Prior to the recording session, the band were requested by Universal to record a song that would be released with their self-titled debut album, which resulted in the song “Without You.” The album’s final track, “Inner Jeans,” was intended for the project but was used for an unreleased Billy Talent song.
On the day of the album’s recording, it became known that the band’s keyboardist Richard Raymond was under the effects of a drug overdose, leaving the band with no keyboardist for a period of four months. It was believed that Raymond had overdosed in the studio on heroin, after which he lost consciousness and was hospitalized.
In an interview with the Vancouver Sun, Trew indicated that Raymond had been using drugs, for “20 years,” although he had quit due to “priorities” having been raised. Trew claimed that his relationships with the drugs had changed from recreational to “a dependency.” Raymond died on April 26, 2013, from a drug overdose.
Upon release, Ignition received widespread critical acclaim, being proclaimed the best album of the year by publications like the Vancouver Sun, the Georgia Straight, and the Hamilton Spectator. The album was named the best album of the year by music webzines Tracks Magazine, Now Magazine, and Rave Magazine, as well as the album of the year by reviews aggregator the AV magazine.
Ignition was a commercial success in Canada, debut
